5-day PW Retreat AUG 12- 17, 07 in Maine
Join Linda Trichter Metcalf and Toby Simon, creators of PW and authors of
Writing the Mind Alive: The Proprioceptive Method for Finding Your
Authentic Voice (Ballantine, 2002), for a splendid PW retreat in
rejuvenating mid-coast Maine.
DAY SESSIONS: TOWARD MEMOIR, WRITING YOUR LIFE STORY THRU PW
Every successful memoir writer, before beginning chapter 1, has had to
extract her life themes from her experiences. For some of us these
themes may be unclear or obscure.
Linda can help you pinpoint some of those themes in the writings you
produce at the Retreat. People interested in writing life stories, for
their own understanding and/or as a legtacy for others, will find these
seesions helpful and stimulating. An Introductory session to PW
practice will be offered.
EVENING SESSIONS: POETRY WRITING
In the evening sessions, you can experience Toby's masterful, gentle
guidance into the land of poetry. For poets and others who would like
to try their hand at poetry.
Where:
Kieve, Kennedy Center, Nobleboro, Maine.
Kieve is located about 60 miles northeast of Portland on the
shores of pristine Damariscotta Lake. Nestled on Kieve's Nobleboro
campus, the Kennedy Center (constructed in 1994) offers retreatants a
private state -of-the-art building to themselves. Private dock with canoes, kayaks and sailboats. Wrap-around porch. Hot tub. Tasty, nutirious, home-cooked meals.
Housing
Twin-bedded guest rooms, each with private bath and both interior and exterior exits. Large wrap-around porch.

Cancellation Policy:
Cancellations must be made by phone. Please call the PW Center at

If you notify the Center by August 20th that you must withdraw, you will receive a refund of your total payment minus $150 administration fee. No refunds will be issued after the Retreat begins (exceptions determined by case).
