PROPRIOCEPTIVE WRITING (PW) TEACHER CERTIFICATION PROGRAM

A 3-Part Program for 2010-11. Online. Conference Call. In Person.

1. An 8-WEEK IMMERSION IN PW

September 27 - November 22.
In this portion of the program, you learn to observe your own PW practice, done a minimum of 5 times a week. Linda guides the group in self-observation in four 2-hour conference calls (times to be announced). Senior PW Teacher Sandra Deer accompanies the group throughout its program and is available as a resource during this period.

2. LAYING THE FOUNDATION FOR TEACHING: 6 LESSONS FOR THE PW TEACHER

Every month, from January to June, first in monthly conference calls with Linda, and then through Guided Writes on your own, you’ll develop your own understanding of the PW teaching process. Here you’ll get the lessons you need to begin teaching. In addition to monthly talks with Linda, you’ll read your Writes aloud to deepen your practice in monthly conference calls with Sandra.

3. APPLYING THE LESSONS: PW RETREATS

The program covers tuition at all scheduled workshops & retreats conducted by Linda in the course of the year's work. Attendance at a minimum of three 5-day PW Retreats are required. (Room & board not covered).
Here are this year's options:
   Oct 29-31, Kripalu, Introductory weekend.
   Oct 31-Nov 5, Kripalu, 5-Day Retreat.
   Feb 20-24, 2011, New York City, 5-Day Retreat.
   Apr 3-8, Esalen Institute, 5-Day Retreat.
   July/August, 2011, Maine, 5-Day Retreat. (Place & dates to be announced).

Pre-requisite: one 5-day PW Retreat.
Fee: $4,500 (excluding room and board).
Payment schedule:  $1500 due on each of the following dates: September 10, November 1, and February 1.
